Merredin Military Museum

Huge thank you to Steve and Brenda. Called in for a visit and then stayed for four days helping out. No job was too hard, mechanical, restoration, cleaning and painting. Even with the temperature hitting 40 yesterday, they kept going. We thank you for your attitude and wish you safe travels.

Merredin had a roll in the manufacture of Bren Gun Carriers by the State Engineering Works during WWII.
The rough cast bogie wheels were railed to Merredin for machining and then railed back when done. The museum has the lathe used for this job on display.

Congratulations to our wonderful volunteers, Mick, Vicki and Max on being nominated for the Community Citizen of the year award. Well deserved for all the years you've put in to making the museum what it is.
