It was a tight deadline as the business cards and poster had to be in Japan before the Easter holidays…yet it was fun and felt absolutely ~awesome~ from start to finish. 🥰

Found this quote while searching my notes for quotes on “forever”.

Couldn’t find it on the Internet — I think I wrote this down as I listened to his acceptance speech for one of his many awards for Hamilton.

Tried to honour the origins of this kanji character — a flowing river.

I’m not used to writing so big, and my biggest brush and papers were not big enough for this assignment.

Finding big paper sizes in Narrm/Melbourne, much less suitable for for traditional Japanese ink, was a challenge.

My wish is for the Narrm/Melbourne/Aussie/International art scene to discover the beauty of Japanese paper so we can have more variety in the future.
