Elf Lyons

This month I felt the absolute romance of being alive. Yes, I did not sleep enough. I walked an average 15k a day and all I ate was bananas and old fashioneds but this MICF was my favourite.

Every day I fell in love with new friends, old friends and audiences. Performing Swan was so cool and fun. Performing WOTE taught me a lot. Crossing the bridge every day at sunset to Malthouse was a delight.

Many highlights. Demi being here! Frankie being Frankie! Brodie's dancing! The Burtons, Club Club, getting to be CatWoman! Milo looking at a menu with the focus of Gene Kranz. Spa with Jacqueline! Elly being here! Getting to dance at Max Watts and recognise and see all of Mission Control around. Getting to share ARTEMIS with everyone. The aquarium with Tarang and Mark! Chris's birthday at Luna Park and watching Thor panic on the roller coaster. Grace telling me about love in Comedy Republic! Meeting Amy!

When I look at who I was last year and who I am now - it feels like a different person and I am so incredibly happy, hopeful and thankful for everyone who made this festival such a joy. Hilary and Bob especially. They called me the "slutty toddler" that lived in their house. What wicked people.

Charlie Beveridge is one of a kind and I can't really imagine touring without them. They're capable of anything and their kindness is unlimited. What a human. Thank you Charlie for always being patient with me as I find more ways to stick things in my knickers.
