New work for the Hornstars 📸🎶
This was such a fun one. These guys are honestly just the most delightful mixed bag of lollies… all so different, all so unique, and each bringing something special to the band.

We shot around St Kilda at sunset and it honestly couldn’t have been more perfect. Soooo much fun.

This shoot was so special to me! 💖 At the end of last year I received an enquiry to photograph The Mavis’s for their new music and upcoming gigs… and honestly, I had a full wait… what? moment!

Like so many of us who came of age in the late 90s / early Y2K, they were everything. I still remember the first time I heard Thunder & that instant obsession. Seeing Beki & Matt at festivals, on Recovery, on TV screens glowing late at night… they weren’t just a band, they were a feeling. When Cry came out in ’98 it was everywhere. Every house party. Every living room. Someone always had Pink Pills playing. It was the soundtrack to an era!

Fast forward to now… and getting to create with them was an absolute career highlight. Beki & Matt are genuinely some of the loveliest humans I’ve ever met. They’re kind, grounded & effortlessly cool. From the moment we started shooting it honestly felt like I’d known them for years. Everything felt easy, relaxed and familiar, which is the best place to create from. This shoot was joyful, fun and such a delight. The best kind of people to photograph. I still can’t quite believe it! 💓💓💓

I was lucky enough to hear their new single on the shoot before its release, and like its title… it is pure Heaven. You’re all going to love it!! More images from this shoot coming soon which are some of my favourite photos I’ve ever taken. 🥰
