📣Effective 1 July 2025, the following salary income thresholds for the 482 visa will come into force:

482 Core Skills Income Threshold (CSIT) – formerly known as TSMIT – will increase to $76,515 for the Core Skills Stream.

Specialist Skills Income Threshold (SSIT) – will be set at $141,210 for the Specialist Skills Stream.

Why the Changes?
The Australian Government has introduced these new thresholds to reflect current market salaries and to ensure that skilled migrants are competitively remunerated. This move is aimed at attracting global talent, filling key skill shortages, and promoting fairness across the workforce.

What Does It Mean for You?
Employers: If you’re seeking to sponsor international talent under the Core or Specialist streams, these new salary requirements will affect future sponsorship applications lodged on or after 1 July 2025. Make sure your recruitment plans and budgets are aligned with these revised thresholds.

Visa Applicants: For aspiring skilled migrants, meeting or exceeding these salary figures will be crucial to meeting eligibility under the relevant 482 visa streams.

We’ll keep you posted as more details become available!
