Hello everyone, here is a sneak peak of The Very Shady Garden part 2! This garden has a mature front hedge which has an intentional gap acting as a portal into the garden beyond. I saw this window as the perfect location for something special...
This hand-crafted sculptural feature includes a welded reo-mesh steel plinth, filled with reclaimed timber (Redgum house stumps) and an insect/bee hotel. To top it off, a rustic ceramic pot from Pots n Pots has been trimmed with mosaic - designed and applied by me. The large Agave, salvaged from the garden, provides bold sculptural form. Huge thanks to Red Letter Landscapes for the secure concrete footing required to hold such a tall and heavy piece. All other work was completed by me 😊
I'm looking forward to the view beyond the sculpture revealing itself as the new planting grows 💚💚💚

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to share some recent pics of our Triple A Garden (All About Angles) now that planting is getting established. How amazing is the native Sweet Apple Berry?! (Billardiera scandens) It has covered the trellises much faster than I expected, thanks to the excellent care from my client, and is already developing fruit. (If you would like to try in your own garden, you can buy at Ceres Nursery, East Brunswick.)

I'm so happy to see all the elements now coming together to create an urban oasis for my client and her young daughter 💚

Thanks again to:
Wattle Landscapes for beautiful bluestone crazy paving, timber screens & edging
Lump Sculpture Studio for exquisite custom made triangular planters
Pots n Pots for the winning textured terracotta-look pots ('Memphis Cylinder')
Outdoor Mirrors by Rivas Design for the serene non-glare outdoor mirror
