The VLGA - Victorian Local Governance Association Inc is delighted to announce that Cr Jane Karslake from Glen Eira City Council has been elected President of the VLGA Board.

Cr Janet Pearce, West Ward- Macedon Ranges Shire Council was also reappointed Vice President.

This follows a meeting of the Board last week.

Cr Karslake replaces former VLGA President Dr Josh Fergeus, whose term on the Board ended last month.

Cr Karslake, who was first elected to the Board last year, said she was honoured to be elected President.

“The VLGA plays a pivotal role in supporting councils and councillors across the local government sector. I would like to thank my fellow board members for entrusting me with this role."

"I would also like to thank and acknowledge outgoing President and Board Member, Dr Josh Fergeus, for his unwavering commitment and dedication to the VLGA over many years. "
