This is something we come across quite a lot. Businesses that have accounting software that is great for the Accountant but not for managing the rest of the business, especially in manufacturing environments. So they develop lots of spreadsheets which work up to the point where they don't.
If this describes your business give us a call to discuss a better way.

Is Covid-19 ALL bad news for business?
Business has certainly changed over the last few weeks!
Where possible, most employees are now working from home, and our business is no exception.
With regards to systems and software development we have seen 3 reactions:
1. Business as usual - this is primarily in businesses that have NOT seen any significant impact to revenue.
2. A complete halt, or restriction to urgent issues only - this is in businesses that have had a significant impact to revenue and are concerned about the future or have limited reserves.
3. A combination of 1 and 2 but are seeing an opportunity to better position their business for when the crisis is over.
Hopefully you are in category 1 or 3. Category 3 is particularly intersting as this crisis is doing a few things:
• Some of your competitors may go out of business and never reopen.
• Buying patterns have already changed and some of that change will be permanent.
• Working patterns have also changed and some of those may also be permanent.
• A lot of business owners now have a unique opportunity to work "on" the business instead of only having time to work "in" the business.
The companies that are able to forsee what those changes will look like coming out of the crisis and have their systems positioned to take advantage of these changes will be in a very strong position to vastly increase market share and profitability.
We already have a very flexible software development environment. We still do a lot of development using Microsoft Access and SQL Server but a lot of those systems also have web portals for use by both Employees and Customers. In addition we have a very strong web development team with the ability to scale up as needed. Perhaps it might be a good time to consider replacing your Microsoft Access front end database with a web interface and moving everything to the cloud.
If any of this is giving you an "ah ha" moment I would be happy to discuss options further via phone, email or Zoom. How many people knew about Zoom a couple of months ago?
Wishing you and yours the best of health in these very unusual times.
