It was such a pleasure to work with two arthroplasty specialists who are leaders in their areas of interest.

Listening to them discuss the case in a collaborative and collegial manner was inspiring to see.

As you can see by these pics, they chatted about their plan, they wrestled over their differences and then operated like a united team

This is a really nice compliment from a surgeon. Saying my pre-op planning was better than the robot. Now, I know this is not the case, but by drawing out the pre op situation and my desired post op outcome, I am thinking about the surgery, the tools needed, the options, the solutions, the dimensions, the stats and facts. And in a simple drawing I am illustrating to the perioperative team what we are trying to achieve.

Feeling really humbled that included my planning in their arthroplasty presentation to a regional area. Making difficult cases a little easier by demonstrating to the surgeon a reproducible plan and a tried and tested process of getting there is a large part of my service to both patient and clinician. I normally work anonymously and my reward is a pat on the back. It’s really nice to be recognised in someone’s presentation. Thank you
