A mini rant about audience etiquette
Occasionally my brain is slightly baffled by audience members that choose to try and squeeze past performers while they are performing… and have a bucket of fuel in their hands
Please, if you are in the audience, wait a few seconds for the performer to pass so you are not directly impacting their performance
If you are needing to get up during a show for whatever reason, please try and do so in between acts to avoid this sort of thing happening. Not only does it disrupt the performer, but you miss out on parts of the show that you’ve put time and money into coming to!

Although I have been doing burlesque for over three years now, this is the first year that I have put my name up for nominations for ‘Rising Burlesque Star’ as part of the
I have not felt ready or worthy to put my name out there as a rising burlesque star until now because I didn’t feel as though I was making enough progress or making my way through the industry at the same speed as my peers.
Over the past year I have worked harder than ever to elevate my burlesque knowledge, ability and understanding to a point where I finally feel as though I am progressing and can put my name forward as a rising burlesque artist. I’ve worked with numerous industry professionals to elevate my art, leading me to achievements such as; making entire costumes from scratch, competing in my first burlesque competition, making it to the finals, performing in shows across the country, debuting four new acts, performing my fire skills on stage for the first time, debuting at Adelaide Fringe and obtaining more gigs than before.
It is for these reasons that this year I am finally putting my name forward and requesting your nomination for ‘Rising Burlesque Star’ 2026! Whether we’ve only just connected or you have been along for the whole journey, your support, your encouragement, and your acknowledgment of my hustle means more than you could ever know.
To make the process as simple as possible for you I have put the nomination link in my bio Xx

This act is becoming one of my favourites to perform, teaching me how to accept different audience reactions, and testing my ability to be fully present on stage. I’m excited to see how it progresses as time goes on
