Often I reach a place I know I should probably leave immediately. Either weathers gone bad, times run out, conditions radically change or all 3 hit. As long as you are prepared for the worst, staying is far more interesting. Pack an emergency blanket, The mountains can kill you quick. Jutenheimen weather starting to show its teeth. This lake is in the mountains next to besseggen. It definitely feels like another planet. Blissfully alone, I ignored the voices saying run home as fast as you can and setup the tripod with frigid hands to fire some frames off.

When you run up the Eiger it really gets the blood pumping! Check out the veins on this guys arms here! I was sad not to make it to the north face mountain festival this year in Italy. Hopefully another is in the cards soon! Flash back to 2016 on the Eiger.
