Finalists will be announced on 16 September, when voting opens for the Civic Choice Award 2026. Stay tuned at www.melbourneprize.org.

The 2026 ski season opening at Falls Creek earlier this month saw the unveiling of Giovanni Veronesi’s Flower of the Alpine Sun, 2026 – the highest altitude public artwork in Australia.
Convened in conjunction with the Melbourne Prize Trust, Giovanni Veronesi won the Falls Creek Gateway Public Art Commission.
