Our surgeons at Mount Private Hospital in Perth have been making the most of the recent arrival of the new da Vinci robotic system. 🤖

Congratulations to Alicia Mackowski (pictured left), our first colore**al surgeon to perform robotic-assisted hernia and re**al prolapse procedures using the da Vinci robot. Under the expert guidance of renowned West Australian colore**al surgeon Abraham Jacob, Dr Mackowski successfully completed her first two robotic cases.

Welcome to urologist James Chen (pictured centre), who completed his first robotic-assisted prostatectomy at Mount Private last week.

“I’m delighted to join the team at Mount Private Hospital. Having performed robotic surgeries at a number of other private and public hospitals, I’m genuinely amazed by the robotic surgical team here. Even though the program has only just begun, they are already working at such a high level. It’s inspiring to be part of this journey and I look forward to working together to offer the best possible care for our patients,” said Dr Chen.

We’re proud to share that Dr Christopher Love, one of our urological surgeons at Holmesglen Private Hospital, has been awarded two prestigious accolades from Coloplast. These achievements celebrate his long-standing commitment to patient care and surgical excellence.

Dr Love has received:

- The Coloplast Centre of Excellence, an international recognition awarded to a select group of practitioners who demonstrate consistently outstanding surgical outcomes and a strong commitment to mentoring and education in urology.

- The Coloplast Millennium Award, acknowledging the rare milestone of performing more than 1,000 pe**le implant procedures using Coloplast devices. This award reflects Dr Love’s unparalleled experience in the field and the confidence that so many men have placed in him.

Such recognition highlights his decades of compassionate care, exceptional surgical skill, and the impact Dr Love has had on patients and the wider field of urology.

His achievements are a reflection of the high standard of care we strive to deliver across all Healthscope hospitals.
