Some rooms get more honest as the day goes on. This was one of them 🌟🎤

Last week, I took the evening stage after running an offsite session with Smith + Nephew ANZ on building the personal performance ecosystem and how that maps out into high performing teams.

The conversations stayed in it well into the evening (that's the part you can't manufacture)!

The question came up about what kept me racing into my forties, against riders half my age.

The honest answer is the systems I built for my performance environment and the people I built around me. Coaches who knew when to push or pull back The physio who always got me back moving. The friends unconditionally there.

And along the way, more wound care than I'd care to admit, which happens to be the best in the world 🩹

It's not either or - it's self and team. That duality resonated.
