SAVE THE SALESIAN PIGS 🐷

Yesterday we gathered outside the gates of Salesian College Sunbury during their morning tour. As prospective parents arrived, we raised awareness about the College's plan to raise six pigs on campus, then send them to be killed in a gas chamber.

Those who stopped and took a leaflet were shocked and concerned, and they assured us they would be asking the school about it. We're fairly certain they did as, after around an hour, the college chose to call the police on us, a futile endeavour as we were peacefully protesting on public land.

👉 Keep the pressure on Salesian College Sunbury this week. Call or email the school to ask to speak to the principal and question if they will release the six pigs to a sanctuary. Please remain respectful.

These look like pigs to us... 🐷

Salesian College Sunbury have been telling people who call to express concerns about the pigs that 'they don't have any pigs' and that the email is a fake that they are 'currently investigating.'

We have also been threatened with legal action from the school for posting publicly available images from their website and social media.

Yet, when an anonymous member of the public drove by the school this afternoon, they found that the pigs were clearly visible from the roadside.

Six pigs from high school agriculture program to be slaughtered in gas chamber 🐷

Yesterday, we were contacted by Matthew Fitzgerald, Head of Agriculture at Salesian College in Sunbury, Victoria. Matt told us about six pigs, currently being raised in the Agricultural learning area at the secondary school, who he wanted to be killed in late October.

Matt seemed to be trying to get hold of Colin Sinclair, the owner and operator of the notorious Benalla slaughterhouse, but had emailed us instead ✉️

We’re calling on all our supporters to urgently contact the school and urge them to send these pigs to a sanctuary, and pivot their agricultural and business studies to the growth and sale of vegetables, textiles, grains or really anything that doesn’t have a heartbeat ❤️
