❤️‍🔥One week away! ❄️
This gig is gonna be super wholesome. Our darling guitarist, Isaac Isaac Bakker is moving to Vietnam at the beginning of August!
Meaning this is the last time you’ll get to see him play live with the CV and frenz crew for a while! We’re sharing the stage with the incredible 𝕸𝖆𝖉𝖊𝖑𝖎𝖓𝖊 𝕷𝖊𝖒𝖆𝖓 and the stunning The Misty Mornings .
Make sure you come down to say hello/goodbye!

❄️Today was Brave Face Day! Aka the winter solstice. Brave Face is Track number 5 on my debut album. I wrote it during the darkest time of the year. When the nights are bloody long and the windchill is intense. Somehow, we manage to weather the winter until the street lights flicker on a little later... Then comes the sigh of relief that is daylight savings.
Here’s a little insight into the process of making it. I love understanding the backstory of how music and special projects are made, so incase you do too - enjoy this little carousel. I often will create visual boards to help me explain to my collaborators the feelings that specific songs evoke. First few slides are taken from my mood boards haha. The rest are shenanigans from the recording process 🥰
A lot of lovely humans helped me bring this song about the solstice to life. Thank you.
