I had some audience reviews sent to me by promotix which was lovely. And now I’m going to rate and review the reviews. No dramatic music. No villain origin story. No Beefs. Just Briefs. It’s simply my thoughts on your thoughts, because live comedy is a conversation that anyone can have an opinion on! ANYONE. Some of you embraced the chaos. Some of you wanted a little less jazz, a little more sheet music. And I will happily disagree. These aren’t bad reviews btw they just need a little work.
So here we go.

Review #1

This is someone who walked in, clocked the vibe immediately, and said, “Ah yes. This is organised chaos and I’m buckling in.”

They called it relatable and funny which is the holy grail. If you can see yourself in the madness and laugh at it? We’ve done the job. They understood the crowd participation wasn’t a derailment, it was the engine. Strangers laughing together, front row included. That’s not an accident. That’s the design!

“Felt like we’d spent 50 minutes with friends.” That line alone? Five stars. No committee meeting required.

They got that the show isn’t about perfection. It’s about connection. It’s about the room becoming a temporary little community where we all agree to suspend dignity for an hour.

Five stars. Framed. Cherished. If I could send them a fruit basket, I would.

Review #2 didn’t just review the show, it parent-teacher interviewed it.

“Tor has real talent but needs to concentrate.”
Ma’am. Am I being moved to the front of the class? Because this has being sent to the principals office triggers all over it.

And can I just say crowd work isn’t a lapse in discipline. It’s a choice. It’s the thrill. It’s the risk. Sometimes it absolutely flies. Sometimes it wobbles. But it’s alive.

This review reads like someone who prefers tidy edges. I can respect that. Some people want a beautifully stapled essay. I’m handing in glitter and saying, “Trust me.”

3 stars for a teacher who sees potential. I’d take it because I’ve always done well under mild academic doubt.

Review #3
I love a reviewer who can say, “This part? Incredible. That part? I don’t get it.” That’s the direct honestly I encourage on the daily.
