Shushin Kai Goju Ryu Karate

Tuesday 22 April, Hillside dojo. Senpai Suraj Fernando, 3rd Dan takes the class. Twenty three members attended as Suraj took the whole class by himself as part of his journey to 4th dan later this year. Suraj is my longest serving senior, beginning his journey with us in April 1993 and manages our website www.goju.com.au. Last night at the Hombu dojo, our newest member, 15 year old Thusanth, discovered that learning how to perform mae geri in goju ryu is no easy task. This pic shows Thusanth practicing with the support of nidans Nathan and Steve. This was followed by detailed practice of kata Taikyoku. I am very pleased with Thusanth's progree since he joined us late last year. He is a valued member of our Shushin Kai family.
