Yowaka River Camp 16/01/2023

We have been exploring the Eden area lately and came across this gem private bush camp on Hipcamp called Yowaka river, about 20mins from Eden, highly recommend it if you want somewhere away from the crowds over the busy times and want somewhere peaceful and family friendly. The hosts were excellent and the river was wonderful and warm and great fun to explore (although it is pretty slippery so expect a few falls and getting wet!)

Here is a virtual tour I shot using my DJI Mavic Pro for aerial shots and Ricoh Theta Z1 for the ground shots.

It has been a pleasure working with Dungala Creations to photograph some of their wonderful artwork in our studio. Here is a small taste, more info on their website: https://dungalacreations.com/

A big congratulations to The Torch and the Counihan Gallery team for their wonderful exhibition launched on Saturday!

It has been a pleasure to work with the teams to shoot and produce this interactive virtual tour, including creating the artwork labels and wall text popup images. Get on down and check it out in person if you can, or enjoy it from your home virtually here: https://thetorchatcounihan.netlify.app/

This tour was shot on the Ricoh Theta Z1 the afternoon before the launch (using the Dual Fish Eye plugin, 9-DNG-HDR mode) - edited in Lightroom with some assistance from Topaz DeNoise AI, Topaz Sharpen AI and a lot of photoshopping (there was an exhibition in the adjoining space during the shoot with people, artwork, ladders etc needing a lot of removal!).

Thanks to Sean Mallory for the Adobe Lightroom presets which were of great assistance! Many of the artwork images I have overlaid supplied high res ones as I wasn't 100% happy with the images out of the Z1. Likewise, the quality of the wall text was a bit too pixelated, so I recreated it in InDesign, outputted it as a high res transparent PNG, used content-aware fill in Photoshop to patch over the existing text, then imported my new text scaled/warped it and adjusted the colour to match that of the actual wall text).

The artwork labels I made in Adobe InDesign and presented as a separate popup image (you can zoom and pan around). Thankfully we were able to do that in the weeks before the exhibition.
A little responsive design in the "skin" turns off the buttons at the top to the Torch website and the PDF catalogue on smaller devices.

The tour was built using Pano2VR Pro, a very powerful bit of software.

*So far 15 of the 24 artworks have sold already so get in quick if you want to buy something!
