CHEEZY ENSAYMADA
BREAD
2 cups flour
2 1/4 tsp yeast
1 cup milk
1/4 cup melted butter
3/4 cup sugar
3 egg yolks
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup butter to brush when shaping
TOPPINGS
1/2 cup butter soften
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup Cheddar Cheese
Direction
Proof yeast on a warm milk with 1 tsp sugar for 5 minutes
Mixed milk, butter and sugar and salt
Add 1/2 cup flour and the proof yeast
Add egg yolks and the rest of the flour
Mixed until it forms a dough
Roll the dough on a floured surface
Knead for about 7 minutes
Dough should be smooth and a little bit sticky
Rest the dough on a warm place for 2-3 hours
Roll the dough into a log shape and slice it on your desired size.
Roll the slice flat and brush it with softened butter
Roll them again in to a log and shape it.
Rest them again for 30 minutes to 1 hour
Preheat oven at 150C and baked them for 20 - 25 minutes
Let them cool down before adding the toppings
Brush them with the softened butter
Sprinkle with sugar then cheese
