Quick update about our new releases: A HERO NEVER DIES has been sent to the replicator for manufacturing and is on track for a December release. ACCIDENT is going through final QC and won't be too far behind.

Soi Cheang orchestrated one of Milkyway’s most intensely personal achievements with ACCIDENT, a riveting thriller with an unsettling take on urban life in Hong Kong and fate.

We were delighted to interview Soi at length for the Blu-ray release, and to learn that he still considers the film to be one of the most significant of his career.

It was also wonderful to have the brilliant Adrian Martin agree to provide critical audio commentary for the release. Plus, we have new written and video essays from The Fanatical Dragon and Zach Closs, newly translated and improved English subtitles by Dylan Cheung, and archival extras.

Finally, also available is a Special Edition version that additionally includes the CD soundtrack, the third of our collaborations with composer extraordinaire Xavier Jamaux.

A HERO NEVER DIES was Johnnie To’s first directorial outing for his Milkyway Image studio and one of the pinnacle Hong Kong films of the 1990s.

Every frame has been digitally cleaned up for the Blu-ray release.

Included are newly translated and improved English subtitles for the feature by Dylan Cheung, over 1 hr of new interviews (with co-screenwriter Yau Nai-hoi, action choreographer and world's greatest barman to hitmen Yuen Bun, and Milkyway sound designer Martin Chappell), new written and video essays from Tim Youngs and Zach Closs, new audio commentary by Frank Djeng, plus archival extras.
