Higher sulphur fuel can make engine oil become acidic. During combustion the sulphur forms sulphur dioxide, which can end up on the cylinder walls, past the rings, and into the crankcase where it contaminates the oil.

To help counter this:
• Change engine oil around every 5,000-6000 km
• Replace the fuel filter regularly (ideally every oil change)
• Use injector cleaner every few tanks
• Make sure DPF regens are completing properly, lots of short trips will increase soot loading, so give the vehicle a good run, or take the E scooter
• F$%k the egr off and get it calibrated

Modern engines are designed for low sulphur, so if you're putting this s #!t through your vehicle, good maintenance is the best way to avoid the dramas to come.
