What a weekend for Mackay Cycles Brand Ambassador Max Teague at the Queensland State Road Championships in Mackay! 🔥

🥇 Time Trial Champion
💨 Averaged an incredible 42.2km/h and won by almost a minute!

🥇 Road Race Champion
⚡ Aggressive racing all day, multiple attacks, and a powerful sprint to take the win by 3 bike lengths!

🥉 Criterium
🏁 A tight and technical Go Kart circuit made passing nearly impossible, but Max fought hard to secure his third podium of the weekend!

With the Championships on home roads, I couldn’t resist pinning on a number, despite feeling underprepared.

⏱️ 16km Individual Time Trial
🥈 2nd Place
A tough ride with rolling hills, a brutal headwind on the return leg, and plenty of suffering! I dug deep and finished just 4 seconds behind the State Champion. Huge congratulations to Bec on a fantastic ride! 👏

🚴‍♀️ 61km Road Race
🥇 Masters 3 Queensland State Champion
The race stayed together and came down to a bunch sprint. With 800m to go, I wasn’t even sure how I was getting out of the bunch 😅. A gap opened on the right, I committed early up the rise, and somehow held on all the way to the line! 🏁

🏆 Massive congratulations to Jody and Bec for completing an all-Mackay podium in Masters 3. What an awesome result for local women’s cycling! 👏
