Socialisation begins from birth!!
People often think socialisation is when our dogs play with others, but it’s much more than that.

Socialisation is exposure to textures, sounds, handling and more. How a pup is raised has a huge impact on their behaviour. Critical socialisation period for puppies is between 3-14 weeks of age.
A lot of puppies socialisation comes from their mother, teaching bite inhibition and correction. The rest comes from human interaction, ensuring proper handling, exposing them to various sounds and situations.

We will be covering more about puppy socialisation over the next few weeks.

Muffin joined the K9 varsity crew!
This week we visited muffin for her first training session and she didn’t disappoint, this clever girl has already mastered sit, down, high five, off and moved onto sit stay.
Toilet training will be a key focus during her sessions, but I must say I am impressed!!

I look forward to watching her progress.
