SA SES - Remotely Piloted Aircraft Ops
12/02/2025
Volunteers from Kangaroo Island, Strathalbyn, Warooka and Yankalilla SES Units recently undertook the practical assessment to obtain their Remote Pilot Licence. 50 SES volunteers and staff in total will have their Remote Pilot Licence.
These SA State Emergency Service volunteers will increase the accessibility of Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPAs), with 15 SES Units across the state using the assets. RPAs located from Streaky Bay and Coober Pedy to Mount Gambier and Kangaroo Island, will ensure they are ready and available to deploy to incidents.
Thank you to FPV Australia for conducting the training.
