Why study this course
This micro-credential responds to the urgent need for training in working with men who use Domestic and Family Violence, with an emphasis on using First Nations perspectives. It equips participants with the skills, knowledge, and cultural awareness to address complex issues in a thoughtful and effective manner. The course supports healing, accountability, and safer communities. By investing in culturally informed education, we empower practitioners to drive meaningful change and contribute to the long term reduction of violence and the strengthening of First Nations communities.

Who should study this course
This micro-credential is for professionals in health, legal, and community sectors—such as psychologists, social workers, police, lawyers, doctors, child health nurses and Aboriginal health workers—seeking to build expertise in working with men who use violence. It applies best practice, cultural understanding, with a focus on First Nations perspectives and supports workforce capacity building in DFV response.

The remote clinical psychology telehealth service is a collaboration between The University of Western Australia's Robin Winkler Clinic and the Western Australian Centre for Rural Health (Pilbara).

The clinic provides evidence-based psychological support for adults via telehealth, delivered by provisionally registered postgraduate clinical psychology students under the supervision of experienced psychologists.

The service is now accepting referrals.
