The Karratha region is currently under an ORANGE ALERT as advised by DFES.
At this stage, Help in Hand services are continuing as scheduled, including support for clients with ongoing care needs. We are closely monitoring conditions and will contact you directly if any changes to your supports are required.

An πΈOrange Alert means you should now be actively preparing for a possible Red Alert (take shelter).

We encourage all clients and families to:
- Secure outdoor items and prepare your home
- Ensure you have enough food, water, and essential supplies
- Charge phones and devices
- Prepare medications and important documents
- Have a plan for where you will shelter

Great opportunity for you to have your say and assist with creating a positive inclusive result
The City of Karratha is inviting community members with lived experience with disability to submit an expression of interest to attend the Disability Inclusive Emergency Planning Forum (DIEP).
This forum is your chance to share your experiences, spark ideas, and help build safer, more inclusive emergency responses that leave nobody behind.
With limited spots, the forum will be held in an accessible venue in Karratha on Thursday 30 October from 9.30am to 3pm with morning tea and lunch provided.
We especially welcome people with lived experience of disability, carers and disability advocacy representatives.
