The 2025 Australian WPGA Championship and Gold Coast Festival of Golf have been cancelled due to the impending impact of Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
After carefully monitoring the latest weather forecasts and extensive consultation with all event partners, we have made the unprecedented decision to cancel the event ahead of the first day of play, originally scheduled for Thursday.
With forecasts predicting high rainfall, extreme winds, and potential flooding, this decision has been made to ensure the safety of players, staff, fans, exhibitors, and all stakeholders - which remains our highest priority.
All ticket purchasers will receive a full refund. Tickets will be automatically refunded in full to the original payment method used at the time of purchase, and patrons do not need to take any action. Please allow approximately 30 business days for the refund to appear in your account.
While this outcome is extremely disappointing for everyone involved, we now turn our focus to 2026, with the tournament blueprint already in place to deliver an exciting and successful return of the Australian WPGA Championship and Gold Coast Festival of Golf.
