Professor Jane Alty was a keynote speaker at the recent Australian Dementia Research Forum in Sydney, where she presented on "The New Digital Path to Brain Health."

Her presentation highlighted how innovative tools such as TAS Test, TapTalk, and the ISLAND Project are harnessing digital biomarkers to help detect the very earliest signs of Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. Importantly, these approaches could help identify changes earlier and support people to take action to protect their brain health.

It's exciting to see how digital technologies are opening up new possibilities for early detection, risk reduction, and personalised approaches to brain health at scale.

✅ If you're an ISLAND member, now is a great time to complete your TAS Test and TapTalk assessments. Every completion helps researchers better understand changes in brain health over time and contributes to this important research. Plus, by completing your assessments regularly, you're helping us explore how these tools may support earlier detection and intervention in the future.

👏 Congratulations to Professor Alty and everyone involved in this important work.

A big congratulations to Dr Eddy Roccati and Dr Andrew Phipps on winning the AD Data Initiative challenge! 🏆

Congratulations to Dr Eddy Roccati and Dr Andrew Phipps on winning the international Alzheimer’s Disease Data Initiative challenge, Delaying Onset: Can Proteomics Inform Prevention?

They achieved first place for their research; Can Proteomics Inform Prevention? Modifiable Risk and Molecular Signatures, which showed that higher modifiable dementia‑risk burden is reflected in distinct plasma proteomic patterns, highlighting the role of RNA‑processing and stress‑related pathways.
