You might remember a post from a few weeks back about Deb, whose goal was to play a game of cricket with her son, Josh.

Well, she did just that. Unfortunately our C Grade Blue team didn’t get the job done for her against the Mavs on Saturday, but we think this is what local sports are all about.

Unfortunately it wasn’t our night in the masters going down to Stepney Saints in what was clinical performance by them defeating us 121-30.

However, congratulations to a couple of Sharks who took home individual honours - Michael Crilly (left) for taking out Player of the Tournament and Stuart Jonker (right) taking home the Bowling Award.

It’s fantastic to see two guys relatively new to the sport doing so well.

Hey Sharks Fam.
We want to highlight a player who has joined us in the Masters comp this season.

This is Deb.

Deb came to us and registered for a team in an age group that didn’t get up this year, so Deb (although slightly apprehensive at first) put her hand up to play in our Over 35’s team. Three games in and she’s really found her stride, and is a loved member of our 35’s team, and well and truly mixing it with the blokes!

Deb’s indoor cricket goals this year include playing a game with her son, Josh, who is one of our up and coming Under 16’s. If her trajectory in the Masters is anything to go by, I reckon she will reach that goal.
