December 27th. Leftovers and lipstick.
Itās been a while! Iāve taken photos and put my phone down. I didnāt come on here to wish you a Merry Christmas, but I hope it was.
As I looked at my Christmas leftovers dishes this morning, and the lippy on a cheeky breakfast Mimosa, I thought I would rather savour it than scroll it.
Itās been a wild, busy, chaotic and full Christmas season for us. December has been such a whirl and I may not have had time for āthingsā but I do want to take the time to thank my customers, my little band of followers here, the ones who sent cards, messages of support, texts of encouragement and words of love. Thank you so much!
I want to wish you all a happy New Year, a happy continuing year, a happy full year! A 2026 of hope and happiness, light and laughter. Letās not carry the worries, hurts, cares and grief of 2025 with us as we step over the threshold at midnight on 31 December.
We may feel leaving this year behind is the best thing weāve ever done, (good riddance and bye bye!!) or we may feel itās a betrayal to things that we lived through, people weāve loved and lost, hurts that wonāt heal.
Time marches onā¦a bit like this post šā¦letās step into the new year with hope and anticipation. I pray youāre blessed with the year you deserve.
Peace and love š

Things have been busy!
The 14th and 15th of December proved to be very busy days. We went to see the Lights of Lobethal and watch my eldest daughtersā family in the live Nativity.
We posted letters to Santa, visited the markets, enjoyed dinner at the Bierhaus and strolled past the light displays.
Today was our annual Baking Day, lots of sticky icing, lollies, sprinkles, mess and mayhem! Fortunately I started the day getting
a Pedi with a bestie so I was ready for the day!
To finish, a veggie pizza and an Advent Jigsaw!

The twelfth of December and our Gingerbread Coffee Station is in fine form.

The tenth of December and itās definitely warming up - a great day for a fun lunch with friends, a stroll around beautiful garden centres, good coffee and lots of planting.
The ferns on our deck have all become potbound so I did the only logical thing, which was to buy a rather beautiful new Chinoiserie pot! This afternoon I got to work repotting, fighting with tight tubers and generally making a big mess.
This is one of our favourite spots for morning coffee, relaxing with our grandkids or having drinks with friends. Now that Iāve spent half the evening sweeping and tidying, itās just so cosy!
