When I was living in Sydney I used to live in survival mode without even realising it.

I was pushed so far out of my comfort zone into a new environment. I felt constant pressure, always feeling like I had to “figure it out.”

And truthfully… now that I reflect, I was operating from my shadow most of the time.

Always “on.”
Always thinking.
Always doing.

Disconnected from my body.
Inflamed, exhausted, overwhelmed.
Running on stress, calling it productivity…
But really, I was burnt out and stuck in fight or flight.

I thought that version of me was strong…
But she was actually just surviving.

Now?

I’ve learned how important regulating my nervous system is and now everything has changed.

I’ve slowed down.
I’ve started listening to my body instead of pushing past it.
I’ve created safety within myself instead of constantly seeking it outside of me.

And from that place…

I feel calm.
Present.
Grounded.
Trusting.
Safe in my body.
At peace.

Sydney challenged me like never before … but it also showed me what misalignment felt and looked like.

Without having to move through that season I wouldn’t have met the most resilient, steadfast and determined version of Chi 🤍

This is your reminder that if you feel constantly overwhelmed, reactive, or drained… Your nervous system is just asking to be held & supported.

And what I’ve learnt along the way is when you learn to feel safe again, you don’t just heal you become the version of you that no longer has to survive, she gets to live in the truest form of who she actually is ✨
