We fight to protect the rights of people with disabilities in the Barwon region. Since 1975, BDRC has been helping people with disability find their voice to initiate positive change.

Our mission is to teach and support individuals to advocate for their rights, treatment, and community inclusion. BDRC will work with you and for you to assess your situation and help you be assertive in seeking improvement for your circumstances.

With the Final Report from the Disability Royal Commission due to be released at the end of next week this is a timely call from Disability Advocacy Network Australia (DANA) for governments to work together with people with lived experience of disability and their advocates to codesign the solutions together.

Nominations for the awards are now open and can be made in the following categories:
- Achievement Award
- Leadership and Advocacy Award
- Volunteering Award

The awards are now in their seventh year, and are an important part of our work in building an accessible and inclusive community for all while celebrating the achievements of those with disability.

This year’s awards are delivered in partnership with genU, and are supported by BRDC.
