Born in Singapore, Radiance Chen showed immense interest in music early in childhood, and began taking intermittent lessons in piano at the age of four. Throughout her schooling years in Singapore and Melbourne, she was actively involved in the music programs in which played the saxophone in the military band and held the position of band major, as well as the violin in the orchestra.

In 2001, Radiance moved back to Melbourne permanently. She completed her VCE at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School, and a Bachelor Degree in Music at the University of Melbourne. She has been fortunate to be under the tutelage of many brilliant teachers, including the late May Yong and Max Cooke.

For the past two decades, Radiance has been bringing music and joy into the lives of the next generation through her role as a piano teacher. Despite a busy teaching and accompanying schedule, she continues to hone her pianistic skills and broaden her musical experiences through working and performing with range of ensembles.

We are thrilled to have Radiance performing with Five Winds for this wonderful Children’s Concert. Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to introduce kids to classical music in a fun and memorable way.
