As part of the Early Childhood and Education program, the students have been learning about different aspects of play-based learning. This has included learning about nature play and risky play.

The excursion to Flagstaff Hill Kindergarten provided our students with the opportunity to participate in the kindergartens' Bush Kindy program in the Sturt Gorge. This gave the students first-hand experience of an embedded nature play program incorporating risky play elements, wellbeing for children and First Nations perspectives within the learning program. The highlight of the day was being able to climb up 'Deadly Hill' and see the view from the top. Amazing!

What an incredible Exhibition of Learning!

Last week, our students showcased the power of authentic Project Based Learning, demonstrating not just what they had learned, but why it mattered.

From investigating how changing the angle of propellers could increase flight time and height, to exploring more sustainable mining practices, understanding the impacts of chocolate production through powerful student performances, developing solutions to reduce the impact humans have on our native wildlife, and designing the Year 9 camp that students will experience later this year, this Exhibition of Learning truly had it all.

A huge congratulations to our Middle School students!
