Check out this Switchboard upgrade we just completed.

Many homes still have an older style Switchboard with cartridge style plug in fuses.

While these were an upgrade to the older rewireable fuses, they are now outdated and they present safety issues as they are notorious for having poor connections between the fuse and holder.

They also have the problem of being changed over to a plug in style circuit breaker with too high of a rating which can cause even more problems.

Not to mention no safety switch protection.

As we found on this one, an over-rated 16a plug in CB was protecting a 10a rated 1mm lighting circuit and behind that was signs of a hot connection.

Now upgraded with Hager RCBOs, we have the correct rated capacity for each circuit and individual safety switch control of each circuit.

Installations of this era are a straight forward cost effective upgrade as the earthing is already up to compliance with earth electrodes installed and the cabling is of todays standard so don't hesitate, we can do yours next.

Some residential maintenance today replacing some old 150w flood lights with 30w LEDs.

That'll equate to a decent power saving also alot more reliable than having to replace the old 150w globes that are notorious for spontanously blowing even with not alot of hours on them.
