I have received notice that the Victoria Police Water Police Squad have approved my request to attend our August meeting at which they will present a short talk on safety equipment etc for the small boat owner. Following this there will be a Q &A session.,

This will take place during our normal monthly meeting, Wednesday August 5th, commencing at 7:30pm, at our club rooms, Fraser Ave Edithvale. and be approximately 1 hour in duration.

There will be a BBQ commencing at approximately 6:30pm and the bar will be staffed. (Purchase drinks at bar prices)

All members are invited and also any guests they wish to bring along as well as members of other fishing clubs who may be interested are more than welcome to attend.

There is no cost associated with this event.

All members are reminded that our next meeting to be held next Wednesday 1st July, 2026 is our Annual General Meeting at which all committee positions will be vacated and refilled.

This meeting will commence a little earlier than usual at 7:00pm due to the amount of business to deal with.

If any member wishes to help the club going forward, by joining the committee in some capacity please contact our secretary Jenny to arrange a nomination form.

We would like as many members as possible to attend.

Visitors and guests are welcome as always.

Last night (Saturday) the Keysborough Angling Club held its annual fund raising Trivia Night. The club rooms were decorated under the watchful eyes of our Secretary Jenny, A roast dinner (Yummy) was prepared and served by our resident chefs Dave and Greg, the bar was staffed by Sarah.

After everyone had eaten their fill (there was none left over), the trivia started and we soon found out those amongst our members who had heads full of facts and knowledge as opposed to those whose head were full of something else.

Coin tosses to place and the best tosses (or should that be tossers) of the night won some alcoholic beverages (Scotch and Tia Maria). Raffles were drawn and prizes won by excited members. Special thanks to those businesses who donated prizes.

All attendees were well behaved and enjoyed the night.

The committee would like to thank all who came along to make it such a fun and entertaining night.
