Ever feel like you’re making progress… only for the pain to come back again?
You’re not alone.
This “boom-bust” cycle is one of the most common reasons we see ongoing heel pain, Achilles issues, and foot/ankle injuries that just don’t fully settle.
One of our podiatrists, Mathew Millar, has put together a really helpful blog explaining:
✔️ Why this cycle happens
✔️ Why rest alone doesn’t fix it
✔️ And how to actually build tissue capacity properly
👉 Read it here: [https://www.jspodiatry.com/blog/tendon-pain-and-exercise-avoiding-the-boombust-cycle]
If this sounds familiar, it might be time for a different approach 👣

Practitioner Spotlight: Lucy Weekes – Podiatrist
This week we’re welcoming back and spotlighting Lucy, one of our highly experienced podiatrists returning to JS Podiatry.
Lucy completed her Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine at Charles Sturt University before spending two years at the Royal Adelaide Hospital as a high-risk clinical senior and research podiatrist. There, she helped develop innovative Telehealth and digital-health programs for diabetic foot care across South Australia.
She has strong expertise in high-risk foot care, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal podiatry. Patients love her practical, warm, and evidence-based approach to restoring comfortable, confident movement.
Outside the clinic, Lucy enjoys running, group fitness, and staying active.
✨ If you need help with diabetic foot care, ingrown toenails, MSK injuries, or ongoing pain, Lucy is here to support you.
