720 Bourke Street is now powered by 100 per cent renewable energy through Cbus Property’s involvement in the second Melbourne Renewable Energy Project (MREP2).

As of July 2020, 720 Bourke St, Docklands will be powered by 100 per cent renewable electricity through the second Melbourne Renewable Energy Project (MREP2). Facilitated by the City of Melbourne, 720 Bourke has entered into a 10-year energy deal sourcing 100 per cent renewable electricity from and linked to the Yaloak South Wind Farm (Pacific Hydro), one hour west of Melbourne. This arrangement will reduce 720 Bourke’s carbon emissions by 74 per cent, getting us very close to achieving Net Zero Carbon for the base building. The MREP2 deal includes four other Cbus Property Melbourne-based assets, and six other members , Hogan, North Melbourne Asphalt, International, University and University.
