BUSHFIRES NT MESSAGE: ADVICE

ALERT LEVEL: Advice - A fire has started in the area. Monitor the situation for changes.

FIRE TYPE: Bushfire.

INFORMATION CURRENT AS AT: 29/06/2026 1400 hrs

STATUS: GOING - A fire which is spreading on one or more fronts. Effective containment strategies are not in place for the entire perimeter.

RISKS FACED BY PEOPLE IN THE AREA: Smoke from this fire may affect visibility. Active fire may occur close to the roadside. Firefighting crews may be working close to the roadside.

WHAT TO DO: Conditions may change, monitor conditions in your area.

ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC: Parks Rangers are continually monitoring these fires and plan to burn Leaning Tree this afternoon.

For the safety of firefighting crews and other vehicles, drivers in the area are urged to slow down, turn on headlights and drive safely for the conditions.

🚧 Night asphalt resurfacing works will occur on Stuart Highway and Tiger Brennan Drive in the Darwin bound lanes at the off-ramp just past Yarrawonga Road.

Works will occur from 8 pm to 6 am, Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 June.

During works, lane closures will be in place with a detour via Tiger Brennan Drive and Tivendale Road to the Stuart Highway, later switching to a detour via the Stuart Highway and Tivendale Road to Tiger Brennan Drive.

Motorists are asked to comply with all traffic management and signage.

🚧 Surface repair night work is taking place on Berrimah Road at the Pruen Road and College Road intersections.

Works will occur from 8pm-5am, Tuesday 30 June.

Berrimah Road will remain open during works with traffic management and signage in place.
