Have fun cleaning your kids room with them. Teach them to be great flat mates / partners one day. Home basics, cooking, cleaning and budgeting.

Most people don’t realize what a layered issue kid clutter is, what a process it is, and how much of it is really about you.

It’s really common to put the blame for all of the kid clutter on the kids, as if they’re supposed to naturally know how to let things go.

But we have to teach them.

Decluttering is a skill that’s built up with practice and experience, and that is going to have to come through you, the parent.

Think about yourself and if you’ve needed help.

You probably have.

It’s not easy to shift to a new way of living lighter with less clutter, less stuff.
