We would like to welcome Priya to our team at CDU.
My name is Priya, and I have recently joined Goodstart CDU as a Permanent Educator.

I hold a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education and have previous experience working with Goodstart Early Learning in Melbourne, Victoria. Recently, I relocated from Melbourne to Darwin to continue my passion for supporting young children’s learning and development.

I am passionate about creating safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environments where children feel valued, supported, and confident to explore. I strongly believe in play-based learning and building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support each child’s growth and wellbeing.

I have a good understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the National Quality Framework (NQF), and child safety practices. I enjoy working with children of all age groups and supporting their development through meaningful experiences, intentional teaching, and responsive interactions.

I am excited to be part of the Goodstart CDU team and look forward to learning, growing, and contributing positively to the children’s early learning journey.

Creating Our Own Didgeridoo Musical Instruments Through Painting

Our little learners in N3 were invited to celebrate Reconciliation Week 2026 through finger painting on recycled paper roll tubes. They were encouraged to creatively transform the tubs into didgeridoos, a traditional Indigenous musical instrument. They watched the educator’s demonstration before confidently exploring colours independently. Some painted vertically, others horizontally, while some investigated colour mixing on their hands, enjoying the sensory textures between their fingers. Several children paused to admire their creations with pride, while some even pretended to make sounds using the tubs as musical instruments.
