🍷 We are excited to introduce our new Passel Estate 2022 Syrah!

With the release of our 2022 vintage, what was previously labelled as Shiraz now carries the name Syrah.

Nothing about how we grow the fruit or make the wine has changed. That decision didn’t come from following trends or borrowing terminology from elsewhere.

It came from something much simpler: When you sit with the wine, it does not feel like what some people traditionally expect from an Australian Shiraz.

🍇 Ours has always been a gentle expression of this dark-skinned grape in our maritime climate, leaning elegant and peppery. Stylistically, it is much closer to a Northern Rhône red wine.

In other words, a Syrah.

This fine fellow is Murphy, our latest winter wine dog.

Murphy enjoyed lots of treats and ear scratches from our dog-loving team, while waiting patiently on our sheltered deck for his hoomans to finish savouring their guided wine tasting experience.

Thank you for bringing Murphy and his family to visit Passel Estate.

Your four-legged friends are more than welcome to accompany you to Passel Estate. We just ask that visiting dogs are kept on a lead, as our nearby bushland is a wildlife sanctuary.
