Last week we helped two parents of teenagers to have a hard conversation. It lasted for eight hours. It was tiring, and difficult at times.
But they spoke about their conflict in a way that would not have been possible by themselves, or in affidavits that would have been filed in forthcoming court proceedings.
They found common ground. In the process, they saved years of litigation, and tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees.
Their newly constituted family can move forward.
