CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) ADVICE

National First Aid takes the health, safety and working environment of our team and students very seriously. To support these efforts, we are working proactively to identify and mitigate any potential risks.

As cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed around the world, including Australia and the situation continues to evolve, we ask that all students and prospective students stay engaged with updates and take steps to minimise the risk of exposure of COVID-19.

On 15 March 2020, the Australian Government put in place new measures for people arriving in Australia.

a) every person that arrives in Australia from an international destination is required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days, including returning Australian citizens and residents.

You are also required to self-isolate if you:

a) have been diagnosed with the coronavirus (COVID-19)
are under medical assessment for coronavirus (COVID-19)

b) have had close contact with a confirmed case of coronavirus (COVID-19)

We are monitoring the situation daily and following the latest government advice via the Australian Government website.

After visiting many third world and poorly developed countries such as Cambodia, parts of Thailand and Vietnam, I am saddened by the extreme difficulties facing so many under privileged people.

I am very privileged to be able to “give back” and help those suffering and in need.

Nepal is among the poorest and least developed countries in the world, with one-third of its population living below the poverty line. It is a landlocked country with rugged geography, few natural resources and poor infrastructure.

NFA supports the “Pahar Charity”, Nepal” which was started 25 years ago.

The founders are handing out back packs to school children. The packs contain pencils, crayons a drink bottle, food containers and other items. The children are so proud of their packs!

NFA has generously donated a brand new Cardiac Defibrillator – the only one in their village.
