Our Project Management team at V2R Projects has recently completed Aerodrome Works Safety Officer training, led by ASSET Aviation Institute. The training took place at our Townsville office and brought together team members from both North Queensland and Southeast Queensland.

At V2R, we’re always looking for ways to improve and ensure the highest standards of safety in our work. This training is just one of the ways we continue to build on our commitment to delivering safe and efficient projects.

Safety is at the heart of everything we do, and we’re proud to be taking steps that benefit both our team and our clients.

Project Spotlight 🔆 206 Ross River Road, Townsville

This project has been for a very important client - V2R Projects! The entire site was purchased in 2021 with the intention to refurbish the existing commercial tenancies - one of which would be a new home base for our North Queensland team.

This was completed in mid 2022 with our team taking up residence in one of the tenancies along with the rejoining of a number of the existing tenants that were relocated during the works. However it became apparent that with the rapid growth of the team mid last year we have since reconfigured two of the tenancies into a larger space to accommodate the V2R team.

Everyone loves a good before and after so scroll on through the images to see the changes that have taken place over the last few years on the site.

The continued fitout of the commercial spaces as tenancies join has also been managed by our team in Townsville which helps us to continue developing capabilities within the team.

The V2R Projects team was kept busy on a recent project for the Department of Transport and Main Roads. Tasked with demolishing an existing RoadTek shed and concrete apron before installing a new RoadTek shed, soil lab shed, carport, and more, this extensive project in Bundaberg saw our team navigating multiple complexities.

In the midst of project work, we discovered that the current shelves in the soil lab didn’t have adequate load capacity to accommodate the intended storage requirements. Due to the limited floor space, altering the shelving configuration wasn’t an easy fix.

After considering the weight and size of items requiring storage, we found a new option that balanced load capacity, space utilisation, and operational convenience. With quick approvals in place, we were able to move towards the completion date on schedule - and the results speak for themselves!
