🐞 Insect Week 2026 🐜

Exploring insects is so much more than just discovering creepy crawlies. It encourages children to develop an appreciation for the natural world, build confidence as curious investigators, and begin to understand the important role insects play in our environment.

Last week our educators thoughtfully created a variety of hands on experiences to spark curiosity and extend children’s learning. From bug themed sensory trays and insect rescue stations to bug hunts, matching games and close up investigations with magnifying glasses, our children explored, questioned, compared and discovered through play.

At Smart Tots, we believe every moment of play is an opportunity for meaningful learning, and last week certainly had us buzzing with excitement!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Miss Chloe on successfully completing her Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care!

Her dedication, hard work and passion for supporting children to learn, grow and shine is evident in all that she does.
