We have been delighted by the overwhelming response to our Love My Burb Photography Competition 📸
Congratulations to our winners, whose photographs beautifully captured the unique places and moments that make our local communities such special places to live.
At Communities for Children (CfC), we are committed to supporting families to thrive within their communities. Initiatives such as this competition are an important way of encouraging connection, celebrating local identity and strengthening community wellbeing.
Thank you to everyone who entered, it has been wonderful to see so many families from Armadale, Gosnells and Serpentine Jarrahdale share their stories through photography. Your contributions helped celebrate the spirit of Families Week and this year's theme, "Every Family, Everywhere."
All three winning photographs are now on display in local libraries.

Today, we proudly celebrated Refugee Week with our community 🌍
We came together to recognise the strength, resilience, and rich contributions of people from refugee backgrounds.
Everyone has a story. Behind every journey is a person, a family, a history, and a future. Refugee Week reminds us of the importance of listening to these stories with compassion and understanding, and recognising the courage it takes to rebuild a life in a new place.
A strong community is one where people feel welcomed and valued. Belonging means having opportunities to participate, contribute, and thrive while being able to celebrate the people that make our communities stronger.
A heartfelt thank you to all the participating organisations, volunteers, and attendees who helped make today so special.
Everyone deserves to belong. Every story deserves to be heard.
