When you join GoodLoop, your membership does more than just support a service: it powers local heroes like The Mill House Ventures.

They help Canberra social entrepreneurs turn passion into purpose, supporting everything from disability services to local, sustainable food systems.

Together, we’re building a community that cares. Visit our website to find out how your membership can help to change our city today.

By the end of 2026, every single residential suburb in Canberra will have a life-saving, publicly accessible defibrillator (AED) so you’ll be seeing a lot more of these local heroes on your coffee runs.

We’re working towards a future where every street has an AED, because every second counts. We’ll continue to work together with our community and our partners at St John Ambulance ACT to make that a reality.

Big news for every heart in Canberra ❤️

We are incredibly proud to announce that, thanks to over $500,000 in private donations, the StreetBeat initiative, led by GoodLoop Mutual in partnership with St John Ambulance ACT, has officially reached its goal of going city-wide! By the end of 2026, every single residential suburb in Canberra will have a life-saving, publicly accessible defibrillator (AED).

This massive milestone was made possible by two extraordinary philanthropists: Frederik Paulsen OBE and Canberran Mat Franklin. Their combined contribution of over $350,000 will fund 77 new AEDs and provide free CPR training for the next two years.

With sudden cardiac arrest remaining one of Australia’s leading causes of death, this important moment highlights what’s possible when communities, organisations and individuals come together with a shared purpose to save lives.

A huge thank you to all our partners, including GoodLoop Mutual, Capital Chemist and Community Bank Canberra, for helping make Canberra one of the first cities in the world to ensure every residential suburb is heart-safe.

Our business is built on community, and our partners are the pulse of that mission.

When you become a GoodLoop member, you’re helping charities like Hands Across Canberra (HAC) change lives. 🫶

As a 2026 HAC Hero, we’re proud to provide financial support and office space to the team that serves as the backbone of local giving, from tackling homelessness to supporting victims of domestic violence.

Your membership helps strengthen our region. Thank you for lending a hand to help us help them.

What exactly does a member mutual look like? It’s one owned by you, not distant shareholders.

At GoodLoop, we’re keeping money in the Canberra region to support the people who live here. That means better services and over $400,000 in community grants.

Swipe through to see what “mutual” really means and how we’re looping our community in.

Canberra now has four more StreetBeat AEDs!

Yesterday, we proudly unveiled publicly accessible defibrillators at Yarralumla Shops and Narrabundah Shops, and at two private locations – OPC in Fyshwick and Canberra Memorial Park in Woden.

Huge thanks to MV Law, Rotary Sundowners Club, Cathy Norton and the OPC Team for helping keep our community safe and heart-smart.

At GoodLoop, we’re working towards a future where every street has an AED, because every second counts. We’ll continue to work together with our community and our partners at StreetBeat and St John Ambulance ACT to make that a reality.
