A complex architectural design by is a complex build. This one is extra special because it’s ours.
Lucky for us, Dennis is up to the challenge, and is on-site project managing and finding solutions in real time. His 30 years of experience and wealth of knowledge in the building industry is obvious from a mile - he’s doing what he does best.
Experience is everything. Our chief carpenter Rhys has been with us since the beginning. That’s 15 years working with - Dennis & Rhys, learning & understanding each other’s rhythms, capabilities, and developing this innate ability to get excited about the challenges of problem solving as a team, and have fun on site with their craft.
The past few weeks have turned out crisp autumn mornings & sunny Canberra days, structural steel galore, timber floor joists delivered by , our No. 1 carpentry crew installed all ground floor thermal broken, double glazed, semi-commercial aluminium framed windows & frames by Trend Windows & Doors (with the exception of the sliding doors & curved wall windows happening soon), and our plumbing & drainage crew ran pipes for ground floor wet areas & garden taps (it all matters).

There’s a bittersweet side of Mother’s Day that hits home for us.
When you lose the glue that holds your family together, everything changes.
Thats what happened when we lost Aldona’s wonderful mum Sandra to bowel cancer, when she was just 53 years young, on the day after Mother’s Day, 13 years ago. Raising 3yr old and 7 week old daughters at the time (let that sit for a moment), there’s a deeply personal story of heartbreak, grief and courage behind our family motto - You only live once.
Mother’s Day week is always a reflective reminder of why we choose to live full lives with confidence and conviction, celebrating all of the big and small moments that nourish our soul, and make up a lifetime.
When we say our purpose is to change lives for the better, we wholeheartedly mean it. We only have this one life, just one. Creating beautiful architectural and custom designed homes that change lives for the better, is just the beginning. Creating a beautiful life is at the very core of everything we truly believe and aspire to every single day.
This Mothers Day week we’re grateful for all the amazing mums in our world who make up our village, and change our lives for the better.
To our number one basketball mum Aldona, who according to her 3 cherubs is also a fashionista, doctor, therapist, detective, police officer, and especially a top tier chef, we appreciate you and we wish you the Happy Mothers Day you deserve🤍
Our beautiful Olive has been architecturally designed and built for comfort and the seasonal climate of the Bungendore region.
Olive is durable, functional and energy efficient, whilst exuding elevated modern country style. We’re loving her soft, warm, and neutral colour palette, with hints of autumn glow.
Abundant natural sunlight and warmth is sweeping through, as it should given the optimal north facing orientation, considered window placement, and thoughtful skylights designed to do just that.
On-site at our O’Connor knock down rebuild to show you how the completed ground floor framing has come together. Our carpentry crew have had a great start to the project. We’re super impressed they’ve knocked this up within a few solid days, so big thanks team! Structural steel is incoming…there’s going to be tonnes of it…watch this space🙌🏼
First floor timber framing of our O’Connor knock down rebuild kicked off at the end of week 10 of construction🙌🏼 Our carpentry crew were well & truly in their groove, achieving the vast majority up in one day🔨💪🏼 There’s an immediate feeling on site of how expansive the space will be and it’s amazing to get a real sense of the layout of the design we’ve been imagining for so long. Keep up the great work team!
Big shout out to our concreting crew for pouring the massive 260m2 ground floor slab at our O’Connor knock down rebuild yesterday! A hive of activity on site with 10 guys and 10 concrete trucks making it happen from the crack of dawn☀️ What a day for it with perfect Canberra weather to take advantage of, and just in time for the Easter long weekend🙌🏼 Super exciting milestone, kids loved hopping all over the new slab by 4pm in the afternoon!
Can’t wait to see frames and steel delivered to site next……
